This is my triumph return back to the blog sphere. Yeah I know I've been away for a long time, but I've been really busy adjusting to my new job and a new city. So far everything is going pretty well ;0)
Anyway, on the wine. This is the first bottle I've ever seen in a plastic bottle! That's unheard of (at least for me). I guess it's not that surprising since they're putting beer in plastic bottles now. What's even more shocking was this was a Cotes du Rhone; I'd expect a plastic bottle to come from Californina, but not this time.
So what's the verdict? Surprisingly failry good. With a blend of 80% grenache, 12% syrah, and 8 mourvedre provides a nice balance of fruit and alcohol. The soft lightweight texture creates a smooth finish with a hint of spice and cherry. However, I think there's a plasticy taste at the back of the tongue. It could be I'm looking for something to be wrong with the taste.
