2007 Pure Love Wines Primitivo Layer Cake Wine Review

This is an above average Zinfandel from Italy. That's right my friends, a Zin from Italy. I didn't even know Italians made Zin. Anyway, at 13.5% alcohol this is a refreshing take on the typical Zin's, which can be above 16%! This is easy to drink with raspberry, blackberry, and other earthiness hints on the tongue. In order to fully appreciate this wine you have to have this with rich chocolate or chocolate cake (duh).

For a really good Zin I suggest you try the 2007 or 2008 Shenandoah Vineyards.
