2007 Root:1 Carmenere Wine Review
This is a delightful Chilean wine from the Colchagua Valley, which is comprised of 75% Carmenere , 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Syrah. There are hints of black fruit (plum and blackberries) with a very smooth and spicy/pepper finish. If you like Malbec's from Argentina this is a wine you can drink now without having to wait 3-5 years for the Malbec's top open up. One thing to note, the wine didn't hold up the next day, which makes sense because there wasn't enough tannin for this wine to make it. So if you open this bottle you better finish it that night.
